>▍APPEARANCE
[td][atrb=width,300px]
>▍DESCRIPTION: Hitomi was named as such because of her eyes, which stand out against her pale face and are a beautiful amber colour. Her hair is very dark and so it looks dark blue in most lighting, though it is in fact her natural colour. It is long and reaches about to her waist, and her bangs cover some of her eyes. She is known to dress very presentably no matter what the situation and whether or not it is expected, to make sure that she never looks or seems 'uncivilized'. She is seen most of the time around the school and rarely goes out anywhere unless there or at some kind of party thrown by her parents (or one that she is expected to attend because of her parents). Hitomi is slender in build and stands at about five foot four inches, bringing her just below average height for her age, though she can still pass for average, especially if wearing heels.

>▍OVERALL PERSONALITY: From her cold, emotionless exterior, one may expect that Hitomi is extremely unkind. This is not true, however. She keeps her emotions in check for her own purposes, mostly to make sure they are always in favour of her parents' wishes. She is extremely devoted to her parents, mostly because they never seem to notice her (this is explained further in the history). Hitomi is in fact kind and extremely loyal if you ever make it past an acquaintance stage. She tends to be very blunt and does not worry about hurting feelings if she is telling the truth (she doesn't see why it should be her problem, in that sense) and hates laziness. Hitomi loves to dance and has trained in it all her life as per her mother's wishes, but she does not share this love with anyone else- in fact, no one at school knows about it. She likes it this way, or thinks she does. She prefers to keep her personal information to herself and does not often share opinions with anyone, either. She is not a cruel person, but she is always extremely cold toward her brother.

>▍HISTORY
[td][atrb=width,300px]
>▍OVERALL HISTORY: Hitomi was born the first child of an executive producer and head of a kabuki theatre company (her father) and a model and dancer (her mother). Her mother was thrilled to have a little girl that she could have follow in her footsteps, but her father was a bit displeased- he wanted a son who could do the same for him. Much to their delight, they had a son a year after Hitomi's birth. This son would inherit everything. Now that they did not need to worry about inheritance, Hitomi's parents continued to devote themselves to their work and to their son and hardly paid any attention to her, letting maids and tutors take care of their daughter instead, and only using her as a sort of doll or puppet for their own use (such as showing her off at parties). Hitomi was always desperate for their approval because of this, and so she never rebelled or did anything that she thought might upset them. This is why she always seems to have such a cold exterior; she hides her emotions for fear of displaying the wrong ones. She is a very hard worker, but her parents do not notice even still. Hitomi is adamant and loyal, however, and will not give up. She continues to train in dance even though she has already matched the level of her instructor, and does not take actual lessons any more. It is a passion for her, and the only thing that she does not do specifically for her parents (though she still does wish to please her mother with her dancing skills, specifically through parties where she either must entertain with traditional dance or when she waltzes with her parents' work friends and colleagues).
Now that Hitomi is in high school, her parents are anxious to get her engaged to someone from another rich family and have all but ordered her to attend the host club and to pay attention to all of the rich hosts and to see who has the most money. They are also going through all their own business connections to find someone to marry their daughter off to, with little to no regard as to Hitomi's own happiness. Hitomi obliges anyway, desperate for her parents' approval.

>▍SAMPLE:
It was a nice day; the sun was shining and it was relatively warm. Even so, Hitomi did not find herself outside, even though she kept thinking of it fondly. She instead found herself wandering around the school, every once in a while stopping and thinking for no reason other than to experience thought. She scolded herself inwardly for this- she could be being so productive, or at least doing something but instead she found herself just wandering, which she thought to be rather unacceptable. Wasn't wandering equivalent to laziness, after all? Hitomi sighed. She should head home to do... well, something. Perhaps schoolwork if she could find any to do - she had to keep her grades up to make sure she would only be able to report good things if her parents asked. Or perhaps she'd practice dance some more- she did spend quite a bit of time on it, but she had to keep her skills up should her mother want a performance. Yes... that was for the best. And so, with a bit more of a smile as she was headed to do what she loved, Hitomi descended the main staircase of the school and exited the building to where she knew the driver would be waiting for her as he was every day post-club.
